Anyone visiting Sicily will be amazed by the landscapes dominated by the Mount Etna, the highest active volcano in Europe, symbol of the island. From 2013, the Etna has been declared World Heritage Site by UNESCO.
Its surface is characterized by a rich variety of ecosystems that see the alternation of urban landscapes, dense forests and desolated areas covered by magmatic rock and periodically covered to snow.
Its frequent eruptions continued throughout history, changing the landscape of what is considered one of the world's most spectacular natural parks.
