Cagliari is the capital of Sardinia, located on the Gulf of the Angels and spread over seven hills.
Its historic centre testified its ancient origins, with the Pisan towers soaring against the blue sky, and the medieval walls built to defend the district of Castello, which is located in the highest part of the city. Here lies most of the major attractions of Cagliari, such as the Cathedral of Santa Maria or the Bastion of Saint Remy.
Worth a visit is also the Marina district, close to the port, where you can feel the breeze of the sea, and from which you can walk along the seaside promenade, or enjoy the sun and the white sand of the Poetto beach.
